We manufacture distribution transformers from 15 KVA to 1000 KVA as per Indian and International standards. We started this in the year 2003. The factory was setup in the year 1990. Initially we were into repairs of distribution transformers of various capacities ranging from 15 KVA to 1000 KVA pertaining to various electricity boards and private utilities. We have repaired more than 30000 nos. of transformers of various capacities and various makes. With this experience and with the support of experienced and able management of our chief Mentor R.Indira we started manufacture of the same. We have well experienced Engineers and work force. We are contributing to Electric supply companies and other private utilities from past 9 years.

Mission :
Our mission is to give best quality transformers with low losses and high durability. This we achieve by continuously improving our design and upgrading our transformers.

Process
Core assembly :
We use grain oriented steel laminations for the core, which is designed and manufactured to minimize the losses. This is achieved by first sourcing the lamination from quality vendors who can supply the laminations as per our requirement. The core is assembled as per the design. Each core assembly is tested and losses measured to ensure the quality.

Coil winding :
Conductors required for winding is procured from quality vendors. Each conductor is inspected for size, electrical and mechanical strength. We have experienced winders and latest winding machines.

HV AND LV windings are designed and winded to meet the Electrical, Mechanical and Thermal requirements. This is achieved by using proper size insulated conductors, providing good insulation between the layers and providing proper cooling ducts between layers and turns.

Core coil assembly :
Coils are placed on the core limbs with proper insulation after completing the top core assembly. Connections on the
LT and HT IS side made with multi layer paper covered conductors.This connections are suitably supported and ensured that proper clearance is maintained.

Drying and impregnation of core coil assembly :
The core coil assembly is dried at suitable temperature for about 12 hours until the assembly is completely dried and the desired megger value is attained.

Tanking :
The core coil assembly after drying are inserted into the tanks and filled with transformer oil confirming to IS 335. After tightening the top cover with bushings and other accessories the transformer windings are allowed to soak in oil.

Testing :
The transformer is subjected to following routine tests
  • Insulation Resistance Test.
  • Measurement of voltage ratio and vector group check.
  • Measurement of winding resistance.
  • Measurement of magnetizing current and no-load loss.
  • Measurement of load loss and impedance voltage test.
  • Separate source high voltage test. (HV Test)
  • Double Voltage, Double Frequency Test. (DV DF Test)
  • Oil break down voltage test.
  • Air pressure test. (Leak test on transformer tanks)
